4360 Azerbaijanis registered as missing

5 Azerbaijanis have been released from captivity and 2 Armenians have been returned to the opposite side since the last meeting of State Commission on Prisoners, Hostages and Missing People by now, Shahin Sayilov, State Commission Secretary said, APA reports.

He noted that the State Commission and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) had taken measures to determine the lists of prisoners, hostages and missing people.

He said that 1062 people had been determined and the list had been sent to ICRC.

According to Sayilov, 231 people had been registered as missing.

Moreover, 18 people have also been registered as missing later and measures have been taken on them.

He said 4360 people had been registered as missing people and 783 people had been captured by Armenian servicemen.

He emphasized that 97 Azerbaijanis were alive during the military operations and stayed in the occupied lands according to the recent investigations.
