The law "On tobacco and tobacco wares" adopted by the Parliament of Azerbaijan does not create conditions for a broader combat with smoking.
The due announcement was made by MP Mubariz Gurbanly, deputy executive secretary of Yeni Azerbaijan party at today's session of the parliament.
He said it is necessary to introduce amendments to this law, which should reflect articles, restricting smoking in public places.
"Stiff combat with smoking is conducted in other countries, including, Europe. This is useful for public health and environment", Gurbanly said.
