Appeal of former editor of Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper to be submitted to European Court

The due announcement was made by defender Elchin Sadikhov.

He said the appeal fixes violation of articles 6 and 10 of the European Convention of human rights.

Sadikhov noted that the appeal will be sent to the European Court by the end of the month.

It should be noted that Uzeir Jafarov, former editor of Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper and military expert, was attacked by unknowns in April of 2007. A criminal proceeding was instituted on the case, however, it was later stopped.
