Misleading caller to Norwegian Embassy in Azerbaijan detained

The 22nd unit of the Nasimi district police office detained a man, who called to the Norwegian Embassy and gave misleading information about the threat posed to the diplomatic mission.

He is Saleh Hamid oglu Hajiyev born in Kelbejar in 1967. Police officers told APA that the identified man was registered in the psychiatric centre in Baku and worked as an engineer for Asko LTD Company.

Saleh Hajiyev told police that one of his friends in Norway invited him to the country, but Norwegian Embassy refused to give him visa.

Therefore Saleh Hajiyev called the Embassy and informed them about alleged threat.

Testimony results were sent to the investigation unit of the Nasimi Police Office.

Investigators told APA that Saleh Hajiyev was testified and then released.

Norwegian Embassy informed the police office about the unidentified calling on February 29 and said that a man called them on February 21 and informed about the threat posed to the Embassy.
