Azerbaijani mountain climber conquers the highest peak of Mexico on 16th anniversary of Khojaly genocide

Ali Sanai, Azerbaijani mountain climber living in Northern California conquered Orizaba, the highest peak of Mexico.

He stuck the Azerbaijani flag into 5636-meter high Orizaba, which is the 3rd highest peak of Mexico. Ali Sanai told APA that he wanted to commemorate the victims of Khojaly genocide and deliver their voice to the world.

Our countryman stated that, he aimed to propagate Azerbaijan. Ali Sanai intends to conquer the peak of Kilimanjaro (Africa), Denali (Alaska Aconcagua (South America), and Everest (Himalayas).

Ali Sanai got particular interest in mountain climbing when he was 18 years old.

He conquered the peak of Orizaba with his Turkish friend Hakan Yalcin.
