Azerbaijan proposing to declare cultural center of Black Sea Economic Cooperation

A session of the work group on the cultural issues of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation will be held in Istanbul on January 17-18.

The due information has been provided by the spokesman for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism Zokhra Aliyeva.

She noted that Azerbaijan will be represented by the consultant for the sector for cooperation with international organizations and programs under the Ministry of Culture Vasif Eyvazov.

She said the session will focus on the two-year plan of actions in the sphere of culture, based on proposals of the BSEC member-states.

"As suggested by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the plan of actions involved issues on declaration of the cultural center of the organization, conduction of an international conference on inter-cultural dialogue in the Black Sea region, organizations of the cultural weeks in the BSEC framework, as well as a project "Legends of two Seas" for the creation of a bridge of culture between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea.
