Food lab to open in Azerbaijan

The State Service of Сontrol over the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan will create a food laboratory in Azerbaijan, as reported by the chief of the service Khaliq Mamedov.

He noted that the state budget have already allocated funds for creation of a lab, which has no rivals in the South Caucasus.

"Currently we use services of the Azstandservis, ITC and Intertek Caledbret labs", he added.

Mamedov noted that the creation and commissioning of a lab will take more than a year.

The laboratory will use equipment, purchased in Turkey, United States and different countries of Europe.

The laboratory will be available for other state structures, in particular, the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health, State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
