100th anniversary of first Azerbaijani opera to be marked

A scientific conference, to be followed by a concert with participation of the soloists of the Opera and Ballet Theater, as well as its folk singers, will be held there on January 25.

The due information was provided by Rashid Behbudov's foundation, which deals with organization of jubilee arrangements in cooperation with the House Museum administration.

The concert will be held with participation of Rashida Behdutova. According to the foundation, the program will include musical materials, which have not been performed for over 90 years. Rashida khanum will perform  musical extracts from Uzeir Hajibeyov's opera "Shah Abbas and Khurshud banu Natavan".
