64 Estonian tourists, who were to stop in Baku, are currently in the Ganja airport waiting for the chance to fly to their country.

As the Baku airport has been closed due to the unexpected snowstorm, the plane with Estoian tourists on board, returning home from India, was obliged to land in the Ganja airport.

The chief executive of the tourist company Travel IN Marina Laykyie said the plane was not allowed to land in Baku due to the snowstorm.

The problem is that pilots were to be replaced during the landing, but they also got stuck in Baku. Therefore, Latcharter Airlines allowed the pilots, who arrived in Ganja, to ave a ten hours rest. The tourist are to arrive in Estonia at 01:00 a.m.

A plane of Lufthansa air company, being on a Vienna-Baku flight last night, did not manage to land at Heydar Aliyev's airport.

According to the plane passenger, the plane attemped to land three times, lowering the landing gears, yet did not manage to land due to bad weather conditions.

In this connection, the liner captain decided to fly to the nearest airport, as fuel would be enough only for 1.5 hours.

Later the plane landed in Trobzon (Turkey) and refuelled. In 1.5 hours, the liner again left for Vienna.

The passengers of the air liner, who spent about 11 hours in the air, are now re- reserving tickets.

They said several planes never arrived at the airport. Thus, several people, who were waiting for their relatives due to arrive at night, had to leave the airport.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the State Concern Azeri Airlines Magerram Safarli announced that all flights from Baku took place at night. He said only the last plane to Nakhchivan had not left Baku, due to bad weather conditions in Nakhchivan.

"Several flights have been delayed in the morning. Yet the landing ground has been cleaned and the flights will take place beginning from midday", he said.

At the same time, he noted that all planes, arriving in Baku, have been received.

"Only the Aktau-Baku flight has not taken place. The cause is connected with Aktau", Safarli said.
