Trial on appeal of Haji Mammadov and other accused starts

Haji Mammadov and other members of the gang Haji Mammadov's wife Naila Guliyeva, Aslnabek Chintamirov, Ferhad Mammadbayov, Husain and Sidek Abduovahabovs, Malik Mammadov, Yagir Mammadov, Musa Dabuyev, Zakir Nasirov, former head of Crime Investigation Department, former department chief Kamil Sedreddinov, Adalat Asadullayev, Eldar Rahimov, Faig Guliyev, former chairman of Kapital Bank Managing Board Elchin Aliyev, Nishad Ismayilov, Novruz Nuriyev and Elshen Mirzayev participated in the trial.

The judge said that Supreme Court sent a letter to the Court of Appeals with regard to the appeal of Kamil Sedreddinov’s lawyer Ogtay Gerekmezli. Following this, Nasirov’s lawyer Adil Ismayilov and Ismayilov's lawyer Terlan Azayev said that they appealed to the Supreme Court as their petitions in the preparatory court proceeding were rejected.

Then the judge said a break will be announced until Supreme Court passes a decision. Public prosecutor Rahil Ismayilov petitioned for announcing break, APA reports.

Naila Guliyeva's lawyer Veli Nagdeliyev petitioned for passing a decision on his defendant’s missing the trial because of her disease. The judge announced a break until Supreme Court passes a decision on the lawyers' petitions.

Sedreddinov's lawyer Ogtay Gerekmezli appealed to the Supreme Court as his petition on sending the part of the criminal case related to his defendant to the court of first instance was rejected by Appeals Court.
