Khazar complete Azeri league and cup double

Khazar Lenkaran completed a league and cup double when they beat Araz Imishli 1-0 in the Azerbaijan Cup final on Monday.

Rashad Kerimov scored the 90th-minute winner to settle a dour encounter and give Khazar their first cup triumph just five days after they wrapped up their maiden league title.

Khazar were playing in only their second cup final, 13 years after losing to Kepez Ganja, while for Araz, who finished fifth in the league, it was their first appearance in the final. Reuters
