Neftchi makes statement on AFFA false information in media

26 May 2007 [09:10] - TODAY.AZ
Fourfold Azerbaijani champ Neftchi has made a statement.

The statement reads that AFFA pays no heed at the protests against biased refereeing in the match with Olimpik. The document says AFFA spreads wrong information, APA reports.

"AFFA harms its reputation by careless attitude towards the violence of our rights. The fax with secretary general Fuad Esedov’s signature says that Expert Commission, federation and Referees’ Committee, as well as several experts analyzed the match refereeing and reached the decision that Imankhan Sultani didn’t blunder. It is disrespectful to name all expert commission members in the letter because we know only commission Chief Siyavush Ibrahimov attended the meeting. Ali Huseynov, Melik Hesenov and Mikail nerimanoglu also took part in the discussion. Only Ali Huseynov may be considered an expert of refereeing among them. It seems ridiculous that AFFA will make a fair decision on the issue," the statement says.

The club is also dissatisfied that Sultani hasn't been punished yet.

"Why does Ali Huseynov, who disqualified Khagani Mammedov, Anar Salmanov, Zohrab Gediyev and Elchin Mammədov for life, defends Sultani after the phone talk record in which the referee demands someone money award. We demand that all figures including Fuad Esedov that intend to strike a blow to our football to announce their target while AFFA president iRamiz Mirzeyev is abroad. Why do they hinder Kazbek Tuayev, Rustem Rehimov, Nazim Suleymanov and Tahir Suleymanov to watch the records we sent to the association? We hope real members of the committees under Ramiz Mirzeyev's control will reconsider the appeal and pass a fair decision on Olimpik Neftchi match," the statement reads.
