Franz Beckenbauer: "Tofig Bahramov's mistake is still obvious"

Linesman Tofig Bahramov became famous after the scene when the ball hit the cross bar in 1966 world championship final, stated legendary Franz Beckenbauer.

Beckenbauer stated that Bahramov's mistake is still obvious even after 40 years. "It is possible to see the mistake in records. But the referee is in the field, inside the scenes," he said.

England and Germany played in 1966 world championship final. After the full time the score was 2-2. In extra time, England team's player kicked the ball which hit the cross bar and fell down. Linesman Tofig Bahramov noted the ball fell inside. APA-Sport
