Uzeyir Jafarov: "Criminal case under article of murderous assault should be launched against assaulters"

He said that forensic examination will make exact diagnose. Jafarov said investigations are being carried out on the case and considers it expedient to launch criminal case under article of murderous assault, not on beating.

"If their aim was to beat me, they would not have hurt my head only. They wanted to kill me. The assaulters have to be found and punished. Two of our correspondents saw them. A foreign car was waiting for them near polyclinics and they escaped on this car," he said.

Uzeyir Jafarov said that he has terrible pains in his head. He also noted that "Gundelik Azerbaijan" and "Realniy Azerbaijan" newspapers will carry on.

Two men attacked on Uzeyir Jafarov while he was leaving the editorial office of "Gundelik Azerbaijan". The editor said they wanted to knife him, but escaped when they saw the correspondents of the newspaper. Yasamal district court is carrying out investigations, but the criminal case has not been launched on the case.
