775 crimes on illicit drug trafficking recorded in Azerbaijan

775 crimes on illicit drug trafficking were recorded in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of this year.

494 of them are connected with keeping drugs, 263 selling, 142 with planting. Law enforcement bodies removed 205,628kg drugs from the turnover. 36,264kg of these drugs was marihuana, 18,134kg opium, 138,929kg hashish, 12,301kg heroin. 444 drug criminals were detained and held accountable. Eight of them are women, 436 men and 13 are foreign nationals, State Antidrug Commission told the APA.
