50 thousand children to be vaccinated

Health Minister Press service's head Anar Gadirli spoke on the importance of immunization, APA reports.

Health Minister Pediatric Institute's director Nasib Guliyev said the state held vaccination against 9 diseases recently. Azerbaijan government accepted State programme on Preventive measures against Infectious Diseases in 2006. Of 9 programmes 4 were devoted to children last year.

The epidemiologist of the republic Ibadulla Agayev spoke on the necessity of preventive measures against measles and germane measles.

Afag Aliyeva, the head of Hygiene and epidemiology department of Health Ministry said 50 thousand children are to be vaccinated this year.
