Russia hands over Sadval activist to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Efgan Kerimov, activist of Sadval terrorist and separatist organization, who was arrested in Russia, has been handed over to Azerbaijan's law enforcement bodies several days ago.

Reliable sources in Gusar's law enforcement bodies told the APA that 40-year old Efgan Kerimov is the resident of the village of Uzungishlag. They confirmed that he was extradited from Russia.

Azerbaijani Interior Ministry, National Security Ministry and General Prosecutor's Office did not comment on the case.

According to APA's investigations, Kerimov, other Azerbaijani 39-year old Elchin Orujov and 24-year old Moldovan attacked on foreign exchange office of Aist Commerce Bank in the center of Moscow on March 17, 2004. Moscow police arrested Azerbaijanis 5 days later, but could not detain the Moldovan. The robbers stole 500,000 rubles from the foreign exchange office.
