Rights defenders to appeal to officials for Gobustan lifers

Human rights defenders are going to appeal to the country authorities for lifers in Gobustan jail, who demand commuting their life sentence to 15-year imprisonment.

Rights defender Chingiz Ganizade told the APA they will discuss the problem next week.

Ten life-term prisoners started hunger strike demanding commuting their punishment on March 27 and continued it for several days.
