Huseyn Abdullayev's lawyer petitions for Fazail Agamali's arrest

He said all the evidences have been submitted to the investigation.

The lawyer stressed that as Fazail Agamali first provoked the incident the accusations on beating and hooliganism against Huseyn Abdullayev should concern him. He noted that the Justice Ministry’s health department has not yet answered to the inquiry on the medical examination of Huseyn Abdulayev.

Fazail Agamali told the APA that the petition is groundless. He noted that execution of the petition by the investigation has no legal ground.

MPs Fazail Agamali and Huseyn Abdullayev had a conflict at the parliament's sitting on March 16, 2007. Fazail Agamali appealed to the law enforcement bodies claiming that he was offended and underwent physical pressure.

The parliament annulled Abdullayev's parliamentary immunity under Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov's order.

A criminal case has been launched against him on Article 221.2.2 (hooliganism) and 132 (beating). Huseyn Abdullayev is being kept in Bayil Detention Place #1. The Court of Appeal upheld the previous decision against him.
