Minibus explosion in Azerbaijan's capital kills 1, injures 3

01 April 2007 [16:19] - TODAY.AZ
An explosion on a minibus in Azerbaijan's capital on Sunday killed one person and injured three, police said.

The minibus had been bringing passengers to Baku from the Ujar region about 160 kilometers (100 miles) to the west, said Nariman Rustamov, a duty officer for the Baku police. There were 10 people in the vehicle, he said.

The cause of the blast was not immediately clear, but Rustamov said police were investigating the possibility that one of the passengers had been transporting explosives. The Associated Press
