Threefold European champ Elchin Ismayilov removed from national team

Azerbaijani judo wrestlers will participate in the European championship to start April 6 in Belgrade, Serbia.

Azerbaijan will be represented with 8 sportsmen. Nijat Shikheliyev (60 kg), Ramil Gasimov (66 kg), Elnur Mammedli (73 kg), Mehman Ezizov (81 kg), Elkhan Mammedov (90 kg) and Movlud Mireliyev (100 kg) will join the competition for men.

Threefold European champion Elchin Ismayilov is going to miss the competition for some reasons.

Head coaches Agayar Akhundzade and Ibadulla Shabanov, coach Hadjibala Hadjiahmedov, as well as doctor Kamil Isgenderov will also travel Serbia. Azeri crew leaves for Belgrade on April 4, APA-Sport reports.
