Ali Insanov wants Maleyka Abbaszade and Fatma Abdullazada to testify

Today trial on case of former Health Minister Ali Insanov and ten more defendants accused of embezzlement, abuse of power and bribery continued in at Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes.

The sitting is presided over by Judge Faig Gasimov, APA reports.

Ali Insanov solicited to the court and asked Maleyka Abbaszade, the chief of State Students' Admission Commission, and Fatma Abdullazada, the chief of President’s Office Humanitarian Policy department, to testify. The court did not consider the solicitation.

Then Public Prosecutor Kamran Aliyev solicited to announce confrontation protocol of Ali Insanov and Akif Maharramov drafted on November 16, 2006. The court allowed the solicitation and the confrontation protocol was announced. Then the accused-Eldar Rzayev and Shovgu Jafarov testified and noted that they are innocent. Accused Haji Aliyev said that they got bribe: $1500 for license of chemists of 20sq/m area and $1800 for the chemists over 20sq/m area.

The trial will be continued in the second half of the day.
