Iranian squad declines friendly against Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani under-19 football team didn't receive positive answer from Iranian Football Federation to play friendly in order to prepare for European Championship second leg.

AFFA National Teams Department chief Behruz Asgerov told APA-Sport Iranians want to change the date of match. "They refused to play saying they haven't come together yet. Iranian Federation suggested playing in May. But this date doesn't fit us as our team will be playing in European championship qualifying in May. We'd like to play in March or April and seeking for a team to play with," he said.
