Woman detained for involving teenagers into prostitution

Hagverdiyeva, a.k.a. 'Dudu,' organized a meeting of Ganja resident Leman Pirguliyeva, born in 1991, with a man and got AZN40 for this and gave only AZN17 to Leman.

Head investigator of the department fighting against crimes Shahin Sadikhov told the APA's Western bureau that a criminal case was launched after Leman's mother appealed to the department.

15-year old Leman was found and confessed that Hagverdiyeva involved her into prostitution and Dudu organized Leman's meetings with men.

"Leman also said she was not the only girl in Dudu's house. All these prove that Durdane was engaged in human traffic," the investigator said.

A criminal case has been launched on Article 171.1 (involve juvenile to prostitution). Sadikhov said that Dudu will be sentenced from 3 years to 7 years if her crimes are proved.
