Five arrested for car hijacking

Five unknown men threatened Turkan settlement resident Akif Anvari with knife in Nasimi district Tbilisi Avenue and attempted to hijack his car.

Yasamal district police detained two of them, Baku resident previously detained, Ismayil Sahatzadeh and Sumgayit resident Bakhtiyar Dadashov.

Interior Ministry riot police and Nasimi district policemen arrested the other members of the gang, Aghdam resident Ruslan Maharramov, Yevlakh residents Elkhan Zeynalov and Elvin Isgenderov.

They threatened Beylegan resident Senan Hasanov with toy pistol and took AZN40 and a golden ring, Interior Ministry press service told the APA.
