Deputy Chief of Azerbaijan Russian community: "The interest to Russian language increased"

"First Russian schools were established in Shusha and Shamakhi in XIX century," the rector of Moscow open State University Baku branch, the deputy chief of Azerbaijan Russian Community Veniamin Mayorov told in the press conference dedicated to the results of "Russian Language and Russia years in Azerbaijan" festival.

He said that the interest to Russian language has increased. The rector of the university Yevgeny Sherbakov said that the aim of the festival is define the level of knowledge of Russia language and Russian teaching.

The rector declared that the level of Russian language and Russian teaching is good, APA reports.
