Roundtable talks on the theme "Example of tolerance - Azerbaijan"

Head of the Caucasian Muslims Office Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh, representatives of different religions, state organizations and of foreign countries in Baku participated in the event. Head of the Caucasian Muslims Office Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh said that such kind of event is for the first time held in Azerbaijan. "People in Azerbaijan live equally despite their religious views. Tolerance is our wealth," he said.

The chief of the State Committee on Work with Religious Organizations Hidayat Orujov stated that there is no conflict concerning religious discrimination in Azerbaijan. He also spoke about ethnic cleansing of Armenia against Azerbaijan.

The US ambassador to Azerbaijan Ann Derse noted that Islam is a religion of peace. The ambassador highly appreciated the tolerance in Azerbaijan and noted it will serve as an example to other countries.

At the end of the event the participants appealed to the President, APA reports.
