Journalists try to hold action

The reason was removing of Azadliq newspaper from its building situating in 33, Khagani st. The officers of Khetai Police Department prevented their assembling outside of the building of committee. Editor-in-chief of Azadliq newspaper Ganimat Zahid and director-general of Turan Information Agency Mehman Aliyev tried to negotiate with policemen. Seeing that the number of journalists is increasing the policemen began to remove them from the territory. The participants were chanting the slogans 'Freedom', 'Freedom of speech'.

Nine of picketers were detained outside of Central Neftchiler Hospital and Ganimat Zahid was among them.

The journalist held rally outside of the committee on October 25 and the police did not interfere the action, APA reports.
