European Court of Human Rights registered the appeals of the prisoners whose death penalty was substituted with life sentence, the relatives of prisoners told.

Their appeal is about the substitution of their life sentence with 15 or 20 years sentence. Chingiz Asadov, Azerbaijani representative in the court said that the court considered "president" of "Talish- Mughan Republic" Alakram Hummatov's appeal and sentenced for 15 years.

"European Court considered the appeal. Any of items of Human Rights Convention was violated," he said.

It should be noted that the prisoners' death penalty was substituted with life sentence. Those prisoners demand to substitute their life sentence with 15 years sentence. The prisoners held protest actions concerning it for several times, APA reports.
