Azerbaijan-Russia relations are developing rapidly. The cooperation spans the press as well. Some media outlets of both countries already established bilateral contacts.

"Azerbaijan" newspaper and Russian News and Information Agency "Novosti" signed the agreement on cooperation on October 25. Editor-in-chief of Azerbaijan newspaper Bakhtiyar Sadigov said at the signing ceremony that Azerbaijan puts a special emphasis on the cooperation with the neighboring states including Russia, and makes every effort to further develop bilateral ties. The cooperation among the media outlets of both counties smoothes the way for both nations to get objective information about each other.

Deputy director of the General Directorate of CIS and Baltic states of Novosti agency Valeriy Yenin said traditionally good relations between the two peoples create the basis for strengthening cooperation.

In accordance with the agreement, Azerbaijan newspaper will issue the supplement titled "News from Russia," which will include materials prepared by Novosti about the neighboring countries and aspects of bilateral ties. AzerTAg
