Azerbaijani population rose 0.8% to 8.506m

As of October 1, Azerbaijani population reached 8.506m which represents an increase of 0.8% or 70 000 as against the early year.

As APA reports, urban and rural population is 51.6% and 48.4% respectively with 49% men and 51% women.

Of the population, 24% are 0-14 year-olds, 69% are 15-64, and 7% are over 65. Besides, 18-34 year-old youth constitute 29% of the population.
