Baku Police Office chief: "Some robber gangs operate in Baku"

"We control the criminogenic situation in Baku. No sensational cases have been recorded in the capital since the arrest of Haji Mammadov's criminal gang. We should work hard to prevent kidnappings and not let anyone to violate stability," Maharram Aliyev, Baku Police Office chief told at the press conference.

He said that both two recent shootings in Yasamal district were uncovered though press writes quite the opposite.

Maharram Aliyev also said that there are some robber gangs in Baku. "They have been operating since 2005 and are supposed to be controlled by one and the same person," he said.

The chief also said that they cannot neutralize the gang, because responsible persons do not work desirably, APA reports.
