Next monitoring on bird flu to be held in Azerbaijan

It will be the fifth monitoring in Azerbaijan conducted after April, State Veterinary Service at the Agricultural Ministry told the APA. The monitoring conducted with the participation of Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, Health Ministry and Azerbaijan National Academy Zoology Institute representatives will cover the whole country, especially the areas having the migratory birds nest- Pirallahi Island, Absheron peninsula, Devechi, Lenkeran and Masalli. The monitoring will continue for a week. Nearly after a week test samples will be examined. The answers will be announced on November 5-6.

The fourth monitoring conducted in September did not prove bird flu risk in Azerbaijan.
