Azeri karatekas claimed World's gold and silver

The 18th World Karate Championship organized by the World Karate Federation wrapped up in the Finnish city of Tamper.

The 8-strong Azerbaijan team led by senior coach Hidayat Shabanov attended the championship. Gurban Tagiyev (60kg) snatched silver, while Rafael Agayev (70kg) gold medals.

Azerbaijani team will return to Baku on October 18. AzerTAg
