Shahin Diniyev: "I would not like to leave the team with failure"

He said it was shameful for Azerbaijan to lose both matches with Portugal and Belgium with 3:0 lopsided score. "We know the level of Portugese team. It is the world's fourth and Europe's second team. Azerbaijan occupies 117th place in FIFA rate table. We could not win the match. It is senseless to expect good results from the team which was established for a short time," he said.

The head coach also said that AFFA president Ramiz Mirzayev will decide whether he will leave the team or not. "I respect his any decision. I would not like to leave the team with failure. A lot depends on National championship," he said.

Shahin Diniyev also mentioned that the national team will have its next match on February 7, 2007. APA
