Azeris to participate in World Judo Youth Championship in Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo will host the XIII World Youth Judo Championship from 12-15 October at the gymnasium pavillion, where the 2003 Pan American Games were held.

According to Jaime Casanova, President of the Panamerican Judo Federation, the event forsees the attendance of athletes from over 100 countries.

World championship bronze medallist Nicat Shikhalizade (60 kg) and European champion Elnur Mammadli (73kg) led by senior coach Agayar Akhundzade and coach Hajiaga Hajiahmedov will represent Azerbaijan in the four-day competition.
