Azeris, Americans conducted joint archeological excavations

Professors Stephen Rapp and Mrs. Lauren Ristvet of the Georgia State University, USA, and archeologists of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences conducted archeological excavations in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan.

Safar Ashurov, head of the expedition, said the findings would be sent to laboratories in the United States.
