Baku Road Police to drive new BMWs

200 new BMW-320 automobiles were given to the State Road Police at Azadliq Square on Saturday.

Interior Minister Ramil Ususbov, Deputy Minister Oruj Zalov, Baku Main Police Chief Maharram Aliyev, Road Police Chief Ramiz Zeynalov and others came together to hand over the new police cars to the traffic police.

Zeynalov said it is an indicator of the attention of the state to police to give 200 new cars to the police. Minister Ramil Usubov said the number of automobiles is increasing in the city. "58 000 automobiles were imported from foreign countries last year. Traffic Police do the best to remove problem in traffic. People have to obey traffic regulations. We are also working to enlarge the roads."

He expressed concern over death of 500-700 people in traffic accidents every year.
200 cars were distributed among the districts at the end of the meeting.
