Azerbaijan and Turkey sign documents on labor and social security

On Monday Azerbaijan's Minister for Labor and Social Protection of Population and Turkey's Minister for Labor and Social Security signed final protocol of 3rd meeting of Joint Standing Cooperation Commission.

The document was signed by Turkish Minister Murat Basesgioglu and his Azerbaijani counterpart Fuzuli Alakbarov.

Besides, "Additional agreement on amendments to 17 July 1998 social security contract between Turkey and Azerbaijan" and "Protocol on amendments to 6 May 2004 Procedure Contract on social security cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan" were confirmed today.

Mr. Alakbarov said the Protocol envisages expansion of cooperation between the two parties and the future works. He said the reason for the amendments is that the changes made in the legislation of the both countries after 1998.

It was decided to hold 4th meeting of the commission in Ankara in 2007.
