Lawyers solicit for acquittal of Elshan Mirzayev in Haji Mammadov trial

Defendant Husain Abdulvahabov asked questions to Haji Mammadov. Answering the question on an attempt to terrorist act in Azerbaijan, Haji said he voluntarily spoke of that to the investigators.

Defendant Kentamirov answered questions of Elton Guliyev, defense-lawyer for Elchin Aliyev. Kentamirov said he does not know Elchin. Then he answered questions of Judge Ali Seyfaliyev and Alovsat Abbasov.

Defense-lawyer for Elshan Mirzayev solicited for exclusion of Sidek Abdulvahabov and Aslanbek Kentamirov's testimonies against Elshan Mirzayev from the list of evidences, dropping the charge against him. He said Mirzayev declared that he was unguilty but investigators did not take it into account and arrested him by the testimonies of Abdulvahabov and Kentamirov. Mirzayev agreed with the lawyer's solicitation. The public prosecutor said it can be decided after the investigation of other evidences. The arrest cannot be commuted during the trial proceeding. The court staff will discuss the lawyer's solicitation.
