Kazakhstan's national football team departs for Baku for EURO-2008 qualifier

The national football team of Kazakhstan is departing today, September 6, for Baku where it will play its second EURO-2008 qualifier at the Tofik Bahramov stadium.

The following players have departed for Azerbaijan: goalkeepers David Loria, Alexander Mokin, Yuri Novikov; defenders Yegor Azovskiy, Alexander Kuchma, Maxim Zhalmagambetov, Samat Smakov, Farhadbek Irismetov, Kairat Utabayev, Alexander Familtsev; halfbacks Anton Chichulin, Dmitry Byakov, Eduard Sergiyenko, Anton Chiculin, Nikita Hohlov, Andrei Karpovich, Andrei Travin, Ruslan Baltiyev, Denis Rodionov; forwards Murat Tleshev, Maxim Azovskiy Nurbol Zhumaskaliyev.

The Kazakhstani delegation includes journalists and supporters, the Football Union of Kazakhstan (FSK) told Kazakhstan Today. The FSK organised the trip for them and paid the transport fares.

A referee brigade from Hungary will serve the match: Zsolt Szabo, Robert Kispal, Peter Hegyi, and Carol Torok (reserve referee). The inspector of the referees - Orhan Erdemir from Turkey, the UEFA delegate - Mikhail Kassabov from Bulgaria.

The FSK reminded that September 2 the national team played a control match against FC "Astana" and lost 3:4. Two goals were scored by Ruslan Baltiyev and one by Alexander Kuchma from the national team's side, and from "Astana" two goals were scored by Maxim Azovskiy, and one by each Anton Chichulin and Dauren Kussainov.
