Delegation of writers from Israel to visit Baku

A source from the Israeli embassy in Baku told TURAN that the delegation, comprised of 10 people, will be headed by Knesset Deputy Joseph Chagall.

The goal of the visit is to support the development of cultural ties between the two countries and to present Israeli writers to Azerbaijani readers.

During their one-day visit, the guests will meet with their Azerbaijani colleagues in Azerbaijan's Writers Union. The Israeli delegation will be received by Nazim Ibragimov, head of the State Committee for Relationships with the Diaspora. At the end of the visit, the writers will meet with representatives of the Jewish community in Azerbaijan at IBRUS Theatre.
