Court proceeding against Mirza Sakit started

Defendant testified upon the trial conducted by Judge Azer Orujov, APA reports.

The journalist denied the charge against him saying the drug found on him was purposely put into his pocket by police officers. Interior Ministry Department fighting Illicit Drugs officers gave testimony and said that Sakit Mirza lies.

The witnesses say that in the preliminary hearing he said these drugs do not belong to him and did not mention the police officers. The trial will continue in September 5.
