Special station to be set up to study Gabala radar station's impact on the environment

Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry intends to set up a special station to study the impact of Daryal Installation in Gabala Radar Station on environment.

The Ministry Environment National Monitoring Department chair Lahuti Aliyev said that the monitoring station will be provided with state-of-the-art equipment to gauge and evaluate electromagnetic radiation impact of the radar station.

He said that Health Ministry is also now examining the territory around the radar station.

He aid that Daryal radar functioned in alert mode during Iraq war and electromagnetic radiation intensified in this period, APA reports.
