Mehmet Ali Shahin considers important to organize joint trainings of Turkish and Azerbaijani sportsmen

Turkish State Minister Mehmet Ali Shahin today met with Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minster Azad Rahimov.

As APA reports, the sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in sports between Azerbaijan and Turkey and several other issues concerning policy on youth.

Minister Rahimov made some suggestions on mutual cooperation, enhancing activity in international organizations, including Council of Europe youth and sports department and Azerbaijani sportsmen's access to Turkish anti-doping laboratory.

Mehmet Ali Shahin stressed importance of organizing joint trainings to prepare for Olympic Games as well as providing Azerbaijani youths’ resting in Turkey in summer.

Following the meeting, the Turkish Minister visited the National Olympic Committee and Olympic Sports Complex. He also visited Taekwondo Sports Center.

Getting acquainted with the Azerbaijani Taekwondo Federation's activity, Mr.Shahin approved the conditions provided here for development of sports. He noted there are few of such centers in the world.

Azerbaijani Taekwondo masters showed professional performance in the Sports Center. The Turkish Minister was presented with a gift by the Taekwondo Federation.

He was accompanied by Minister Rahimov.
