Azerbaijani population rose 0.6% to 8.483mln

51.6% live in cities and 48.4 in villages. 49% are men and 51% are women.

As APA reports, 25% of the Azerbaijani population are up to 14-year olds, 68% are 15-64 year olds, 7% are over 65 year olds.

29% of the population is 18-34 year-old youth and most of those live in cities.

74 200 children were born in this period and 27 200 died. The births per 1000 people rose from 16.7 to 17.9 but the death per 1000 people remained unchanged.

In this period 33 800 marriages 4 100 divorces were registered that is marriages per 1000 people increased from 7.3 to 8.1 and divorces per 1000 people decreased from 1.1 to 1.
