President decrees on conducting of population census in 2009

According to the decree, the population census aims at obtaining necessary information on demographic situation, number, composition and location of population in Azerbaijan as well as making socio-economical prediction.

The census of population will be conducted April 13-22 in 2009 under the presidential decree. The State Statistical Committee is charged with preparation for the population census, conducting of this process, working of results, analyze and publication.

The Cabinet of Ministers is to ratify the plan of measures for conducting of population census within two months, APA reports.
