Training for law–enforcement bodies held

The USA Defense Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Customs and Borders Defense Agency from June 5 to 9 will hold training to about 100 representatives of Azerbaijan Ministry for Emergencies, Republican Prosecutor's Office, Defense Ministry and other law-enforcement bodies.

The objective of the training is to prevent spread of weapon of mass destruction, related products, strengthen Azerbaijan state organizations chances for their being discovered and investigation. Today press representatives have observed part of the training.

The US Embassy in Azerbaijan Public Affairs Officer Jonathan Henick told that this program has been organized aimed at help for implementation of "Partnership for Peace" program of NATO, strengthening of land and sea borders of Azerbaijan: "This training is implemented within the frame of International struggle against spread of weapons of mass destruction. It is a good case that Azerbaijan is our active partner in struggle against spread of weapons of mass destruction."

The USA Armed Forces representative major Kit Folsetti stated that, they have established cooperation with different ministries in high level, APA reports.
