Lakes subjected to pollution in Absheron peninsula

Masazir, Boyuk-Shor, Mirzaladi, Kurdakhani, Puta, Girmizi, Shor, Gizil Nohur and Haji-Hasan lakes are polluted due to lack of centralized sewerage system in residential area.

Energy, oil-chemistry processing and other production, steady development of communal fields, as well as anthropogenic influence in Caspian Sea coastline has caused appearing of a great number of dirty ponds, Ministry of Ecology and Natural resources press service has informed APA. Since some of these has connection with Caspian Sea in direct and others in indirect way, it impacts on pollution of the Caspian Sea.
