Azerbaijani Justice Minister met with commissar on Council of Europe Human Rights and Russian Ombudsman

According to the information given to APA from Justice Ministry, the minister gave information on democratic changes in the country, strengthening of Court System, reforms for expanding penitentiary system, selected of the candidate to Court in modern and transparent way, he stated efficient cooperation with prestigious international organizations in this field as well as with Council of Europe. Mr.Mammadov also spoke about the measures implemented for struggle against corruption, decrease of poverty, increase of legal services quality.

In his turn, Mr.Hammarberg expressed with satisfaction provision of human rights in Azerbaijan, highly evaluated democratic reforms. In the meeting preparation of lawyers, teaching of judges, international law norms in court activity as well as applying of law issues of European Court for Human Rights was also discussed.
